When the weather began warming up, I was hit hard with the motivation to overhaul our yard. Eventually, when the weather became nice AND dry, I even busted out the shovel and tore up a bunch of grass (then promptly left the chunks behind to deal with “later” [and “later” has still not come]).
I quickly decided that I needed a plan. A MASTER PLAN. Not a “oh, it’d be nice to have something here” and plop down a few plants in the area only to move them out a few years later. So I started sketching. And it got OUT OF HAND.
So I turned to Pinterest to explain my desires to Brian. 175 Pins later, I have a lot of commonalities, and a few oddballs. With chunky stone walkways, lush foliage, and pops of purple, the overall feel is low-maintenance perennials with a Secret Garden Oasis feel.
